More on the ounce of prevention topic.

It seems to me that thinking ahead is not always an easy thing to do when it comes to physical security systems. For one thing they aren’t necessarily always easy to install.

The companies that install these systems for a living will tell you otherwise, but depending on what kind of building one’s business is located in, it could be a hassle to retrofit with wiring and the required hardware devices (cameras, door readers and so forth).

For another thing, in these economic times paying for a security system of any type might be a stretch, although I can honestly (and happily) say that our access control business has increased significantly in 2011, which makes me believe that the difficult economy is actually generating more criminal activity, with a result of more security systems being installed.

So when there are daily reports of violent crimes on the premises of companies even during normal business hours it is probably a good idea for business owners to have taken as much precautions as possible to forestall any such activity on their premises.

The ounce of prevention in this case just might be worth quite a bit if it prevents a nasty event in the workplace. That’s one of the reasons our company by line is “Protecting the Workplaces of the World”
