Within your existing marketing strategy there can be any number of B2B Marketing uses/applications for QR codes, limited essentially by the imagination of advertising agencies.
Lots of examples of B2C QR code usage - a good example is what Adecco has done with it. Globally Adecco has incorporated the use of QR codes in advertisements (QR codes giving the job code reference number on bill boards, school cafeteria, Map and contact information of the agency).
Within B2B context, QR codes can be incorporated in your existing marketing strategy both, On-Line or Off-line marketing tactics to give specific product related information.
Off-Line Marketing Strategy:
- Conference Free Gifts: Distribution free conference gifts as a part of your marketing campaigns not only helps in attracting the target consumers to the brand but also in creating a positive brand image. Enhance the gift with a QR code and you can embed URL with product specific information, company information etc.
- Company Logo: Essentially any where you display your company logo (business card, building, booth, stationery etc) should/will have a QR code so the user can find out more about your business/product.
- Product: On the physical product packaging (DVD, Server etc) you should have a QR code with information related to the company/product.
On-Line:
Strengthen your on-line marketing by making it easy for folks to scan your QR code to participate in Facebook or LinkedIn promotions, follow you on twitter etc. The purpose of QR codes is to make it easy to bring off-line users online.
Have you considered using QR codes for B2B marketing? How successful was the campaign?
