My name is Saxess Busulwa, I am one of the best songwriters in East Africa.

I have writen songs like:- Mukidoongo, Mwaami + Natuuza entobo for WAFAGO, Kkakkana for BLU3, Begoonza for OBSESSIONS, Muziki for KS ALPHA, Bampasudde, Nsanyuse + Ondese for PHINA MUGERWA, Jaangu eno maama, Ssikiraba, Waaligwa, Nniinze + Biruungi for CHAGGA, Tujja bbaabya for BATAKA UNDERGROUND, Talikuwa for VIVA STARS, Mpambaatira for TAFF B, Nnyinimu for HENRY TIGAN and LEVEL X, Binnyonkoondo + Tubanyiye for KRYSTAL BABES, 2 songs for WBS Television, Ba mugumu + Kabina for WITTY WITTY, Tunyilira for RENAH, Kampapeepape for BEBE COOL, etc.

I was nominated as best songwriter in the PEARL OF AFRICA MUSIC AWARDS in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011.

I am now starting up a new music group or call it a band consisting of instrumentalists and singers.

In Uganda we dont have copyright yet, so when I write a song for any singer coming from outside my group, they pay less than 500 US dollars. They then walk away with every single benefit making thousands of US dollars out of my strength. And singers come for one song to help them push a fool album.

Am forced to accept that little pay because singers take very long to come back for another order finding rental, telephone, internet, electricity and water bills waiting.

So I sat down and thought of at least giving my lyrics to people who will stay, we work as a group and build each other up. I didn't look around because I`ve `all along been recieving and helping very many young talented street kids and school dropouts. I talked to them about it and we agreed to sign contract papers. To keep them expecting and happy as I look for money to register the group and process the contract forms, I wrote and paid for 4 songs.
KOOKOLILOOKO our 1st video praising how good looking a lover looks when you wake up with them before sunrise is out (hipipo, twitter, youtube and facebook).

DOWNTOWN our second song encouraging high class people to come to downtown places for leisure is also out (audio only).

DANCEHALL CREATURE is our next, in this song we don't regret to be dancehall creatures.

With the very little money I get, I have managed to rent 2 rooms, one for our demo studio the other for the bedroom. Only that we are so many for those rooms. We also need other rooms for the office, gymnasium and at least 5 other bedrooms. Another problem now is transportation of the singers mainly to upcountry shows and promotions where taxis don't reach. Even some school dropouts (group members)who stay with there parents find a very big problem going back home after shows and promotions. They are sometimes attacked, beaten and robbed.

As I have instrumentalists and singers, our dream is becoming the biggest band in East Africa. So the other dream we have is getting a helper to buy or donate us a set of stage instruments and studio equipment. Money for studio and promotion is the biggest threat our group has, because the quality we produce and the way its promoted will determine our level for life.

So I send my kind request to anybody with a helping hand out there to please help these desperate/helpless but very talented young musicians.
